Muse
Some said it leaked bu accident, some said it was purposely leaked by the record company to generate publicity. Regardless of the reason, Jolin Tsai's latest offering LEAKED!!! I can overlook the 128K or 192K quality, I just need to hear it for myself was this album worth the wait. After putting it on replay the whole day, I must say Jolin has outdid herself again.
The album's track listing is quite balance in terms of dance tracks and ballad. We all saw what Jolin can do in 'The Great Artist' and the amount of solid cash her record company is willing to spend on her. The first part of the album is made up of dance track, such as the pop-ish 'Dr. Jolin', Euro-pop-ish 'Ecstasy', the single ladies anthem 'Friday The 13th' and 'Beast' which she wrote herselft. I'm soooooo hooked on 'Ecstasy', even though is sound like 'Love Player 2.0'. Kudos to Qing Feng from Soda Green for coming up with this song.
The second half of the album is consist of ballads, such as her second single 'The Wondering Poet', 'Colour Photo', 'Someone' etc. Her choice of ballads these time around shows much more maturity and her voice sounds much more experience. I usually just skip her ballads but this time I actually ended up liking them all, especially the last track on the album 'I'. It may be the most personal but yet the most simple song Jolin ever did. One can never go wrong with a ballad written by Tanya Chua. It fits as a perfect ending for this album.
So in the end, as a fan, I was not disappointed. It was really worth the wait. This could possibly be the best album of the year (in the Chinese entertainment industry). Now this year would be perfection if Jay Chou would stop fooling around with his underage girlfriend and stop making mysterious movie so he can sing the theme song. We need your album!

Jangkar 2.0
If someone ask me to go hiking last year, the answer will be a big 'HELL NO'. But somehow I managed to slide hiking into my short list of hobbies this year. For most of my Facebook friends who has seen the pictures that I uploaded will probably know that I've been to the Jangkar waterfall back in April, but yet I still came back, 5 months later.
Things were a bit different this time around. We hiking up stream via the rocky river, jumping from rock to rock. And this time, rather than just swim underneath and stare up at the giant waterfall, I actually climbed up the waterfall, which was about 3 to 4 stories high. The view from above was SPECTACULAR! You can see the clear sky, the horizon, as if everything was just at the bottom of your feet. Plus, there's another waterfall up there, not as big as the first one, but still a great place to swim.
At the end of the day, we were at exhausted, some even got sunburn, including me. But it was memories made, it was another brand new experience. A big thank to Susan (the girl standing beside me in the pic above) for organizing this trip, I look forward to our next adventure :)

After 50 Shades
I'm done with 50 Shades, and I really mean DONE. I wouldn't bother warning you guys all the spoilers that I'm going to spill here, because you know why? There is just nothing that you couldn't think of from a romance novel, except the kinky erotic part of course. The cheesy elements aside, the storyline just gets more and more typical. Half way through book number 2, I begin to skip all of the sex scene, which is getting more and more boring for me. For those scene, I'll just wait for the movie.
Yes, there's a happy ending to this erotic trilogy. And just like Edward and Bella, they have kids too, well, they have 2 (1 was on the way) so technically they win. I was disappointed, because I was not shocked. I was not expected to be shocked but still I'm disappointed. It was like one of those silly love novels I used to read when I was in primary school. Rich guy, normal girl, two worlds collide, differences rises, some villains appear and someone saved the day and they all live happily ever after.
The main problem I have with 50 is that the ending is too perfect. Hell, the Greys are perfect, like the Cullen family, but even better, because they don't suck mountain lion's blood and don't glitter under the sunlight. I just don't like perfection, I'm not a perfectionist. All in all, this trilogy should be categorized as light reading, something you can read will waiting for the bus or just goddamn bored. So, I'm done. And I am not sure now that it is a good idea to turn it into a movie, a porn maybe, but not a movie.

Going Out
Despite Jennifer Lopez's latest attempt to keep going in, which seems to be the latest trend of life style which people are getting quite comfortable with, I'm actually going in opposite direction by going out, out, as in outdoor to be exact.
Going out was actually the best advice my mom gave me this year, when I was still in a zero-distant, super-glue-tight relationship with my laptop and Internet. As it turns out, the less static I stayed, the more weight I lose. As it turns out, I kinda enjoy outdoor activities, such as swimming, cycling, hiking and other stuff that involved sweat and dirt.
But on the down side, I find it hard to find myself some companies to do those outside stuff with me. Like when it's super sunny, I can hardly find anyone who would be interested to take a dip at the sea or at the river with me. Part of the reason is my limited social circle, but the main reason, in my opinion, is that going out is just not as cool and fun as it used to be.
So, maybe next time when I ask you to go out with me, you'll know what I mean.

50 Shades
Yes, I'm referring to the best selling exotic sex novel that everyone's talking about. It's a trilogy and will soon become a movie, and they will probably make 2 movies out of the last book too, like most novel-turned-movies. I just finished reading the first book, and is now half way through the second book. I'm not shock that they are making movies out of these books, but there's only a thin line between turning it into a movie or porn movie to be exact.
So, if you're gonna read it, be warned and be prepare for lots of kinky sex stuff pouring out of Christian Grey's Red Room of Pain. The stuff happening there is beyond 18sx, trust me. This is holla worst that Rihanna's S & M, it's 50 shades worst. But when you set aside the kinky elements, 50 shades is just a classic cheesy love novel. Romantic? Yes. Funny? Yes, well, most of the time when they are not having sex. Heart warming? Hmmm, sometimes. It has all the things that a good love novel need to sell big time, and maybe bigger than Twilight.
I'm now at book 2, 50 Shades Darker, and the romance is still going on, and off. Typical love story between a filthy rich guy with a twisted past and a girl who think she can save him. It's just like Twilight, minus the fangs and blood and Taylor Lautner. So, the only question on mind is that who has the gut to play these two love birds. Whoever they are, be prepare to show lots of skin, and I'm prepare to face the fact that it probably won't make it pass our shitty censorship system and I'll have to use other means to watch it. Christian Grey is too good to be true, but who doesn't want one , right? lol

Living Under The Radar
Yup. That's my life. It has been a couple of months since my last post, I thought I'd quit blogging buti eventually kept this blog up and running because I do cherish those friends who continue to blog. Another reason for my previous intention of shutting it down again was because life hasn't been that interesting since graduation (which I initially planned to write in another post but that thought never did manifest into any action).
So all in all, my life have been nothing but boredom. Yup, guest that's the first trait of adulthood. I'm not gonna put it in details what I have been up to, because there's this thing call cell phone which you can use to call or text me about that stuff. On to another subject, I am addicted to the hit comedy series The Big Bang Theory, thanks to a friend of a friend who gave me a complete 5 seasons of the show. I watched a few episode before but watching it this time around from the first episode, was another hilarious experience.
Now I can't say which one is funnier, Modern Family or The Big Bang Theory. I used to be a nerd that those four guys in TBBT, and I'm probably am, so I guess that I can relate to the show. One thing that really astonish me is that the fact that Leonard and Penny can still be friend after breaking up for the second time, that I cannot do though I really admire the relationship they have between them. Plus, Sheldon never fail make me laugh. Wish my life was made up of countless episodes of 20 minutes comedy. Maybe in time I'll get an Emmy. Hmm.
